Sam PA (JustTellSam)

The story

Sam PA lives where people already are: inside WhatsApp. There's no app to install and no dashboard to learn — you just text it to set a reminder, log an expense, or hand off a task, in any of 10+ languages.

Its growth has been organic — no paid marketing — reaching 1,390+ users in 45 countries, who have sent it 39,800+ messages since December 2025. It also pays for itself, in the narrow and literal sense: the subscriptions it sells cover its WhatsApp bill, and it rides shared infrastructure rather than a server of its own. That is not profit, and we are not going to dress it up as profit. It does mean the product has never needed to be carried.

It is also not only a texting assistant, which is the part even our own site kept quiet about. Sam PA can ring you and be rung — 3,100+ calls placed so far, alongside the audio messages people send it instead of typing. That works because it is a socket on the same voice core as SamCaller: the calling was not a feature we set out to build here, it was one the engine already had. It spread the way tools inside a chat app tend to: person to person.

That's the whole opportunity. The referral loop is native to the medium — the assistant lives in the same chat app you'd use to recommend it — so growth and product are the same surface.

Sam PA is also where smaller experiments come home. Standalone notes and earlier assistant ideas folded into it rather than competing with it, which is the opposite of the usual instinct to keep everything separate.
