The story
A meeting is the one place where everything gets decided and nothing gets written down. Somebody volunteers to take notes, does it badly because they are also trying to take part, and the actions leave the room in three different people's memories.
MeetNotes records the room and hands the team back the notes: who said what, speaker by speaker, a summary anyone can read in a minute, and the to-dos pulled out as a list. It was built for a room with 5–7 people in it, which is the part that is actually hard — a recorder with transcription bolted on collapses the moment two people talk over each other.
It works in the language the room actually speaks. Eleven languages have been spoken into it so far — Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Sindhi, Portuguese, French, Italian, Korean, Filipino, Hausa and English — often mixed inside the same sentence, which is how meetings in India really sound and where English-first tools quietly fail.
It is on both stores: Google Play, and the App Store since 20 August 2026. In its first weeks it has recorded 1,900+ meetings — 400+ hours of real rooms — for 900+ people in 100+ countries, and the day the iPhone app landed, 74 different people recorded a meeting on it.
It has also started to earn. Its first paying customers are billed directly by us rather than through either store — the app's own purchase flow exists, but the businesses that wanted it first wanted an invoice. That is a small number today and we are not dressing it up as revenue; it matters because it arrived without a single rupee of marketing behind it.
Where it goes next is not a bigger consumer app. The pull we are getting is from businesses that want it fixed to the room itself — conference rooms with proper mics, sales calls captured as a record, customer-support conversations turned into a searchable trail — which is a different product shape from one person recording on a phone, and a much better one to sell.
Like everything on the voice core, it did not start from zero: it inherited a year of SamCaller's listening on live phone calls, which is why a new app could ship already sounding like a product.
