Why it is paused
Every building already has cameras, and almost nobody watches them. The footage gets reviewed after something has happened, which is the one time it is worth least.
CameraUse turns that around: it watches the feeds live and raises a flag while there is still time to act — a bag left alone in a concourse, a scuffle starting, a person in a restricted area, someone on the floor who has not got up.
Technically it sits exactly where our two engines meet: the vision work that came out of the image products, and the audio understanding that came out of a year of live voice. A room is much easier to read when you can hear it as well as see it.
It is paused because the rest of it is not a software problem. Cameras, edge hardware, installation, uptime commitments and a security-industry sales cycle are a business of their own, and taking it on properly means committing to it properly. The capability is real and it is not going anywhere.
